BOREDOM STRIKES!
08/02/2011 out of the surf.island fever kicking in.dressed Dylan the puppy in Ali’s boad shorts and my bikini.drunk Bintangs with Karma and got tied up to a chair and gagged just to pass the time.moaned about not being able to surf.
and then i remember that I’m in a tropical country with good mates while friends are at home working 9-5 in the snow.not so bad after all.

07/02/2011 After a pretty boring day involving no surfing whatsoever Josh and I went for a beach stroll along the path where all the locals live. Probably mid way walking past the tents we caught the interest of the locals. A smiley woman ran up to me, called me to crouch and just plonked her little girl on my lap. Suddenly theres group of about 8 people with camera phones and a shed load of kids...

04/02/2011 Approximately 3 hours after landing in Bali i burnt my leg on a motorbike exhaust, a (not surprisingly) common occurrence for a tourist in Bali. anyway surfing in sea water everyday means cuts and burns don’t heal. they just don’t. So the damn thing kept me out of the water for 6 whole days which was a nightmare when you in Sumbawa and they only thing to do is surf.

First surf at Periscopes.
02/02/11 Headed down to Periscopes for my first surf at what turned out to be the best break I’ve ever surfed. It about a 20minute walk and on the way we were mobbed by the local kids which is a common occurrence here. The kids live just off the beach in tents. They all ran up to us, fighting over holding our hands and walked a good 10minutes with us until they got called back. I was amazed to...
