Beer run with 41 empties
08/01/2011 A beer run in Sri Lanka can be hard work, especially when theres a ridiculous number of you. So Ben, Madeline and I set off to Weligama with not less than 41 empty Lion bottles and a list of alcohol to pick up. Colombo visa run
06/01/2011 Up at an unhealthy 5am and Me and Rich set off in our tuk-tuk to Galle. It was pitch black and as we passed the small street shops and the cool breeze ran through the tuk-tuk which was a refreshing start to the long hot day ahead. Whilst sitting in Sri Lankas version of KFC, the almighty disgusting Hot Pak I saw my first (and only) elephant of the...

I opened my eyes at one point, looked to the left and noticed Oli, hands on knees, staring straight into my room. Wondering what the hell he was looking at I switched my head to the right and there is was. A...

The 'Hiltern Beach' Experience
27/12/2010 Got up at 6am and the 4 of us loaded our stuff in and on top of two tuk-tuks and set off to Midigama for a change of scenery. Ben left his cd with ourdriver so we had a pleasurable experience listening to and raving to full on club music at 8am whilst driving through Galle in our little tuk-tuk.
When we arrived at Hlilternbeach hotel we were pretty happy with the location (within...
