Arriving in Kuala Lumpur (+30 degrees difference...
28/11/10 My body is in SHOCK right now. Not culture shock. Just temperature, humidity and dehydration shock. When i walked off my flight across the tarmac the heat was a welcome change that i’d been waiting for, then there was that smell, i can only describe it as hot-air smell and i’m not sure what causes it but it reminds me of traveling.
Anyway I picked up my luggage and let out a...

Air Asia Flight d72007 London-KL
27/11/2010 Interesting spotting 3 hours in: A guy with a hankerchief (could actually be a bit of paper) stuck inbetween his glasses and his face. He looks pretty ridiculous but then he didn’t have to bring/buy a eye mask thanks to his 2 in 1 hanky!
Everyone sleeps on planes or at least tried to. It doesn’t matter what time of day or night it is. I’m not claiming to be any...

decisions, decisions
So i’ve been following the weather report for Malaysia the past week or so and the words ‘heavy rain’ and ‘thunderstorms’ are frequently used. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t just travel for sunshine and i get that embracing the weather wherever you are is a part of traveling and the experience. BUT if i can get equal enjoyable experiences in a...

what i do
I’ve noticed I tend to take photos of art/buildings/places without always knowing much about them, simply because I think they look good or different or interesting. There is always going to be photos of things ’ I just have to have a photo of’ because I love a little bit of creativity and spontaneity. I see my photos as a little piece of something amazing i have seen or...

I'm excited...
…about ‘your travel bucket list’ entries. I’ve seen a couple and I’ve already found myself ooohing and aaahing at destinations and experiences I hadn’t thought of. I spent a few hours this morning creating mine and have posted it on my blog. I found it to be an exciting challenge to come up with a list of travel based boxes to tick because i wanted to make sure...

MY 'Travel Bucket List'
My Travel Bucket list… In no particular order:
1.Explore the ‘Pacfic Islands’ -After reading paddling the Pacific (Paul Theroux) I have my heart set on exploring these islands strewn across the Pacific Ocean, by any means.
2.Watch ‘Pipe Masters’ on the North Shore - I spent a week on Oahu in April and got to see Pipeline, Sunset and Waimea but as it was out of season I saw them pretty flat. I...

Your Travel 'Bucket List'
Ok so I have this idea….
If you’re in to travel you inevitably have a ‘list’ of far flung paradises, highest mountains, camel treks and cultural experiences you wish to encounter in you lifetime. It can be on paper or in your head, but speaking from my experience, once you’ve got the travel bug you can’t get enough of it.
I think it would be perfectly awesome...

(APR 09) Reykjavik, Iceland
(APR 09) For my 21st birthday my parents treated me to a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland. The scenery was crazy beautiful and it really was a breath of fresh air. Everything felt very crisp and if i remember correctly even in the city center it didn’t seem polluted. Its not somewhere i would automatically think of traveling to (i’m a total beach bum) but i’m glad i got to experience a...
